Obituary for Taylor Byerly

Taylor A. “Tab” Byerly, 49, of Erie, PA passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 after a courageous 15 year battle with brain cancer.

He was born in Westfield, NY on May 7, 1971, a son of Taylor and the late, Victoria (Weitzel) Byerly.

Taylor graduated from Tech Memorial High School. After high school he worked at Rum Runners/Cove for many years, GAF, Valerio’s, Long Horn, Applebees and Meadowbrook. He was a hard worker and wanted to provide for his family even when the doctors suggested otherwise. Taylor was a huge fan of the Browns, Celtics, Cardinals, and the Penguins. He enjoyed music, attending concerts, and swimming in his pool. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Taylor is preceded in death by his mother and also his sister, Ann Byerly.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Carpenter) Byerly, father, Taylor Byerly, children, Aundrea Luczak, Dominique Luczak, Alexandra Luczak, and Pryce Stanbro, his twin sister, Teresa Root (John), brother, Ralph Byerly (Erika Hengelbrok), sister-in-law, Annette Hatcher (Jerome), mother and father-in-law, Frank and Cheryl Carpenter, and his best friend, John Kuhn.
