Russell M. Cornman, 70, of Erie, PA passed away at PA Soldiers and Sailors Home on November 19, 2021. He was born in New Kensington, PA, to the late Perry G. Cornman and Cora (Gess) Cornman Henry on December 18, 1950.
Russ served in the US Army as an auto mechanic from 1969-1971. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, visiting with his sister Bonnie, children and grandchildren. If anyone knew Russ, they would know his love for Root beer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, David Henry, four brothers, Perry, Robert, Frank, and Keven, niece, Melanie Cornman, and great-nephew, DJ Cornman, and unknown whereabouts of his sister, Nelly SneFlickenger.
Russ is survived by his sister, Bonnie Anderson and her husband Christopher, son, Russell Cornman, daughter, Kelly VanHorn of Ohio and two grandchildren, Kaylee and Chase VanHorn, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the staff at PA Soldiers and Sailors Home for their years of dedication as well as the nurses from Asercare Hospice Services. The family would also like to thank Russ’s good friend Buddy Burnett, who took time to visit Russ often.
