Obituary for Ronald Forness Jr.
Ronald J. Forness, Jr., 61, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
He was born in Erie on December 23, 1958, the son of Lois (Harrington) and Ronald J. Forness, Sr.
Ron graduated in 1976 from Cathedral Prep. He was the parts guy at Aleks Powersports for many years.
Ron was a huge NASCAR fan and would travel to Watkins Glen, NY twice each year for race weekends. He enjoyed watching hockey and college basketball, especially the Kentucky Wildcats. He also enjoyed camping.
He is preceded in death by his dad Ronald J. Forness, Sr.; his sister, Susan Forness; and father-in-law, John Gehrlein.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Gehrlein) Forness, his mom Lois (Harrington) Forness; his sister, Carolyn Galoardi (Roger); his brothers, Rick (Susan), Jim (Theresa), and Joe (Jessica), mother-in-law, June Gehrlein, brother and sister-in-laws, Kevin Gehrlein (Marie), Mary Helen Parker (Brad), Marie Ingram (Jim). Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Sacred Heart Church from 9 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 am. The Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
