Robert “Bob” F. Wagner, 71, of Erie, Pa, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021.
He was born in Erie on October 17, 1949, a son of the late Richard Wagner and Christina (Veneziano) Courson.
Bob joined the Air Force and worked as the canine trainer in Vietnam. He worked at GAF for 38 years in shipping and receiving until it closed. Bob enjoyed bowling, playing darts and bocce, and watching sports, especially the Colts. He liked to travel and loved his trips to Florida. Bob was a lifelong member and board member of South Erie Turners. Most of all, Bob loved playing with his grandkids.
In addition to his mother and father, Bob is preceded in death by his sister, Denise Sanford, brother, George Courson, grandson, Daryl Jon “DJ” Cornman, and grandmother, Susan Veneziano.
Bob is survived by his children, Sheila Wagner, Carollee Silakowski (Kevin), and Derek Wetherbee (Emily), grandchildren, Jordan Duke, Little Derek Fisher, and Cadence Silakowski, longtime girlfriend, Susan Ortyl, step-mother, Judy Wagner, siblings, Mel Banner (Barry), Cheryl Courson, Jeff Courson, Mark Courson (Kelli), Kim Courson, Richard Wagner (Karen), and Charles Wagner (Leslie), and brother-in-law, Gary Stanford.
