Ollie was a 1944 graduate of Albion High School. As a teenager, she helped raise her younger siblings. After raising her four children as a stay-at-home mom, she resumed part time work as a waitress and short order cook at Mentley's, a neighborhood tavern.

Ollie was an Avon Representative for over 50 years and still had active customers. She was one of the founding members of Erie Women's Bocce League, was the team captain of the Golden Girls, and played at the Nuova Aurora Club until the age of 93. She bowled for over 50 years, with a high game of over 200. She held positions of Treasurer or Secretary in both leagues over the years. She was a Legion of Honor recipient at the Polish Falcons on 3rd St. She loved the club and was always on a committee decorating or helping in some way. Ollie also volunteered at the Voting Polls for many years.
