Obituary for Nancy Martin (Terrizzi)

Nancy L. (Terrizzi) Martin, 69, of Erie, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on Friday, November 4, 2022.

She was born in Erie on January 16, 1953, a daughter of the late, Narchie J. And Martha (Dinges) Terrizzi.

Nancy was born and raised in Little Italy on the 19th Street tracks. She attended St. Paul Grade School and graduated from Villa Maria High School Class of 1970. Growing up she loved going to camp in Tionesta, PA with her parents. She also loved playing bocce with her father, and she carried on that tradition playing with her daughter, Megan. Nancy attended Penn State Behrend for a few years before becoming a paralegal for Knox Law Firm, where she remained until retirement. She was known as Fancy Nancy for always dressing to the nines, having the perfect decor, and her love of shopping. After retirement, Nancy worked as an administrative assistant at the Colony Pub & Grille and Crossroads Dinor with her nephews, Kevin and Keith. Nancy and her late husband, Tom moved to Florida for a few years before coming back home to be close with their grandchildren. They both enjoyed golfing, dancing, spending time with friends, gardening, bird watching, and stretching out happy hour as long as they could.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Thomas E. Martin, her sisters, Barbara Bruno (Rudy) and Margaret Camp (Harry), brothers, Donald Winek (Jean), Dr. Charles Winek, and James V. Terrizzi, Sr., as well as many more friends and family.

Nancy is survived by her children, Megan Gaeta (Joseph), Sarah Wilson, David Martin (Girlfriend, Linda Ebach), and Jennifer Simons (Chris), grandchildren, Emma Gaeta, Ryan Gaeta, Elizabeth Wilson, and Olivia Wilson, her savior and special dog, Charly, sister-in-laws, Molly Winek and Linda Heinl (Walter), brother-in-law, Dennis Martin (Gloria), former sister-in-law, Shelly Terrizzi, and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Friends are invited to the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. Erie PA 16502 on Wednesday from 3pm until 7pm and on Thursday at 9:15am for the prayer service followed by the Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Luke Catholic Church.
