Obituary for Kathleen Fromyer (Gilmore)
Kathleen M. Fromyer, 75, of Erie, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at St. Mary’s Home Asbury Ridge.
She was born in Bradford, PA on March 22, 1946 and was adopted by the late, John and Zelma Boss II.
Kathy was a 1964 graduate of Bradford Area High School. She was everyones grandmother to friends and family alike. Gigi, as many knew her, had a great sense of humor, always giving a smart witty comment. As a devout Catholic, she taught CCD and Bible school at St. Andrew’s Church. Kathy was an avid sports fan, she loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee University, Michael Jordan, and disliked Nick Saban with a passion. She enjoyed baking, camping at KOA, drinking diet coke, obsessing over Blake Shelton, and making the best Thanksgiving meal for the family.
In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Fromyer, daughter, Linda Riggs, sister, Lynne Luke, and brother, John “Mickey” Gilmore.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Fromyer, son, William Fromyer (Melissa), four grandchildren, Philip Fromyer (Brittany), Dakota Riggs, Mara Fromyer, and Lucy Fromyer, four great-grandchildren, Stella Fromyer, Cheyenne Riggs, Harley Riggs, and Miles Fromyer, siblings, Linda Barnett (Dave), Lisa Boss-Parker (John), Laura Mills, John Boss III (Susan), and sister-in-law, Laura Luke.
Friends may call on Monday at the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. from 3 pm until 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at St. Andrew’s Church at 11 am. Burial will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com
