Obituary for Julia Howell
Julia “Jewel” Rouse Howell, age 101, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
She was born in Union City, PA on January 26, 1920, a daughter of the late Harold and Gertrude Dorsey Rouse.
She was an avid reader and sharer of books. She reveled in her chosen role as wife and mother. In her later years she moved to Mercy Terrace Apartments, an independent living community for seniors, where she found a new home to love and new friends to treasure.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Gerald A. Howell, and two daughters, Jerrlyn Branson and Brenda Howell.
She is survived by her loving son, Robert Howell of Cincinnati, OH, a loving grandson, Jeremy Branson of Jamestown, NY, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc from 10:00 am to until the time of the brief Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.
