Obituary for Elizabeth Hazen (Weaver)
Elizabeth C. Hazen, 95, of Erie, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022.
She was born in Erie on March 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Lent) Weaver.
Elizabeth had a Master’s Degree in elementary education and taught at Pfeiffer-Burleigh and Grover Cleveland Schools. She bowled for many years on a teachers’ league. She enjoyed reading, going to the Erie Playhouse, watching her favorite tv show, Little House on the Prairie, and tending to her many, many animals over the years (strays included). She was also a member of Elmwood Avenue United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hazen, and her grandson, Keith Hazen.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Jeffery Hazen (Kathy), daughters, Lizabeth Hazen and Barbara Hazen, granddaughters, Kelli Proctor (Scott) and Amy Randolph (Ryan), and great-granddaughters, Anna and Mia. She is also survived by her sister, Jean MacPherson, niece, Laurie MacPherson, and nephew, Scot MacPherson.
Friends are invited to the funeral service on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, 2502 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Erie Humane Society or the Anna Shelter.
