Obituary for Dorothy Gabbard
Dorothy E. Nuber Gabbard, age 76, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021.
She was born in Columbus, GA, a daughter of the late Robert and Eula Morgan Nuber.
Dorothy graduated from Strong Vincent High School and retired from General Electric in 2002 after 29 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and R.A.G.E (Retired Associates of General Electric) and enjoyed traveling, reading, card games, puzzles and especially, time spent with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Bill Nuber and a sister, Rita Nuber.
She is survive ed by a daughter, Missy Pietras (Greg) of Erie, two sons, William Gabbard (Angela) and Robert Gabbard (Sue) both of Erie, a brother, Joe Nuber of Seattle, WA and two sisters, Mary Swiderski and Margaret Grossi both of Erie. 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday at the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. from 3 pm to 7 pm and are invited to a service there on Thursday at 9:30 am followed by the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 10 am. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
