Obituary for Donald Miller
Donald L. Miller, age 84, of Edinboro, PA., passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. He was born on February 6, 1937, son of the late Leslie H. and Mary Guerrein Miller.
Donald graduated from St. Joseph’s Grade School, going on to attend Academy High School where he graduated in 1954.
He served in the United States Navy in the submarine service, stationed at Pearl Harbor. He sent one of the First Official Missile Mail deliveries when he was on board the submarine U.S.S. Barbero, making the historical milestone in the use of guided missiles for communication. He then went on to work for the United States Postal Service in Erie and then Edinboro. He was also an avid golfer and made many good friends over the years on the golf course.
Donald is survived by his sister Barbara A. Gwinn, three nephews, one niece, and many cousins.
The Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Church/Bread of Life Community from 10:15am to 10:45am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am.
