Obituary for Cynthia Larner (Dietsch)

Cynthia Marie Larner, 61, of Erie, PA died suddenly (of a catastrophic cerebral hemorrhage) on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Cindi, a lifelong resident of Erie, was the daughter of Joseph A. Dietsch and Alta M. (Kephart) Dietsch, both of whom preceded her in death. Cindi’s half-brother, Michael P. Crocker, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Larner, of Edinboro, her daughter, Beverly Larner, her partner, Benjamin Burford, and their son, Alasdair, age 2, and by her step-daughter, Nichole Larner, all of Erie. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Dietsch, of Columbia, MO. We hope you will share your memories of Cindi here so that her children might be comforted by them.

Cindi faced many challenges throughout her life, yet her healthy sense of humor sustained her. Cindi was a single mother who did her best to help her children succeed. She loved her family. When Cindi’s kids were young, keeping them in diapers was always a challenge. We know she would feel good about helping other mothers who are struggling. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Erie Family Center’s Diaper Depot in memory of Cindi.
