Obituary for Cheryl Smith
Cheryl V. Smith, age 74, of Erie, PA., passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021. She was born on December 25, 1946 in Boston, MA. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Ann McEachern, and late Bruce and Dorisse Hummel.
Cheryl grew up in Boston, MA. She attended Bedford Jr/Sr High School, Cosmetology School in Alabama, and received a degree from Southwestern College in San Diego, CA. Cheryl worked for the US Government as a civilian worker at NADEP North Island. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. She loved crafting, cooking, baking, and telling stories of her life experiences. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and dog lover. She is loved by so many people, friends and friends alike. Cheryl could light up an entire room with her fun loving, bright personality and will be missed by so many.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her Husband Edward J. Spencer Sr., Siblings Jack McEachern, Linda Ahl, Stepsister Debra Hummel, and Grandparents.
She is survived by her Daughter Brittany Becker and her husband Adam Becker, Stepchildren Edward ‘Jim’ Spencer Jr., Coral Ondrus, and Thomas Spencer.
She is further survived by her siblings Harold & Mary Ellen Maclean, Carol Ann Falasca, Richard & Sharon McEachern, Steven McEachern, Patricia McEachern, sister-in-law Margaret McEachern and step sister Cindy Carter. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends across the U.S. also survive.
