Anthony Orelski, age 91, of Erie, PA., passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022. He was born on April 1, 1931, a son of the late Vincent and Bertha Zukowski Orelski.
Tony proudly served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1956, when he was honorably discharged. After serving, he worked most of his life at Erie City Iron Works, where he was a pipe fitter and boiler maker. Upon retiring, he worked for the Erie City Parks Department as a grounds keeper. He spent 22 years caring for all of the picnic goers at Glenwood Playground.
He enjoyed fishing and was an avid animal lover, especially of cats. His favorite saying was “I was sane three cats ago.” He loved any animal that crossed his path.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marlene, as well as his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving son, Mark Orelski and his wife Cindi, his daughter Darlene Kindle and her partner John, and three grandchildren, Katie, Alexandria, and Jenna.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 13, at the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. from 3pm until 7pm, and are invited to the Funeral Mass on Friday at 10am at St. Joseph Church/Bread of Life Community.
