Obituary for Anthony Bova

Anthony Bova, age 90, of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. He was born on July 5, 1930, son of the late Anthony and Mary (Beraducci) Bova.

He was the loving husband of 62 years to Lucille (Capozziello) Bova. Anthony is also survived by his three children, Rosemarie Freebourn of Albany, OR, Michael (Mary) Bova of Erie, PA, and Elaine (Peter) Voce of Pittsburgh, PA; seven grandchildren, Justin, Yvonne, Tony and Luke Freebourn; Kaitlin and Sarah Bova; and Emily Megonnell. Also, Tony is survived by a brother Patrick (Darby) Bova.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Richard Bova, a sister Mary Ann (Bova) Lander and a step brother Guy Madia.

Tony graduated from DeVry Technical Institute with an Associate in Applied Science in Electronic Technology.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and is a retired electrician from Erie Insurance. In his spare time, Tony loved to woodwork, garden and read. During his retirement, Tony continued his woodworking at Santa’s Helper’s and also volunteered at Chosen International Medical Assistance refurbishing medical equipment. He was also a faithful member and Usher at Blessed Sacrament Parish. 
 
Friends and family are invited to the funeral mass at Blessed Sacrament Church on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 11:00am. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery.
